As Aurizon continues to thrive in 2024, we are currently seeking expression of interest applications from indigenous and female candidates who reside in the Great Southern region.

We are currently forming a pool of candidates for upcoming job opportunities (full time traineeship and full-time qualified positions) at our Wagin depot in Western Australia.

We are looking to engage locally based candidates who can display superior teamwork skills, flexibility, a high level of safety awareness and excellent customer service.

How you can join Aurizon's workforce

  • Entry level role - Trainee Locomotive Driver. 
  • Qualified Locomotive Driver. 

About you:

  • Available for 24/7 up to 12-hour shift work.
  • Able to pass computer-based assessment, produce unrestricted current driver's license and reference checks. 
  • Able to pass railway medical assessment.
  • Be eligible to work without limitations in Australia.

To be considered for a Qualified Driver position, candidates will be required to hold Cert IV in Rail Operations, or equivalent, have relevant experience and as well as be able to pass pre-employment checks, including CAT1 medical assessment.
