About the role:

  • Lead the provision of all legally required maintenance training and assessment to ensure business compliance and continual improvement of performance standards.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of all LR maintenance training and assessment content and resources to ensure effective and measurable training outcomes are achieved reflective internal and external requirements.
  • Development (technical and nontechnical knowledge and skills), support and monitoring of employees.
  • Maintain a high level of skill applicable to maintenance trades to be able to effectively understand the relevant issues and engage with the target audience.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and evaluation through consultation with customers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and ultimately improve the effectiveness of training.
  • Adapt learning delivery to suit a variety of audiences and learning levels in a wide range of workplace settings, while still meeting key learning outcomes, performance indicators and quality levels.
  • Continually develop and update skills and expertise in facilitation by participating in self-development improvements related to this role to ensure best practice training delivery.
  • Build and maintain extensive networks of stakeholders across the business to maintenance awareness of safety and learning initiatives and approaches, and learn from the knowledge, skills and experience of others. About you: 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Mandatory).
  • Trade/Rail Industry Qualification (Mandatory).
  • Proven track record in Training and Assessing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise business processes.
  • Ability to lead, coach and influence others to drive outcomes and enhance technical and personal development.
  • Ability to apply best practice scheduling and project management techniques to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • High level of facilitation, mentoring, coaching, and relationship building skills to create lasting attitudinal and behavioural change.
