About the role: Our Bulk business unit is experiencing an exciting time of expansion as we grow our national footprint enabling us to deliver more integrated operations across the country. To deliver on our commercial opportunities, we have created a new position, Program Manager Bulk, reporting directly to the GM of Bulk Terminal, Assets, and Integrated Operations. This role will be critical in operationalising Bulk projects to ensure deliverables are met through providing senior project and program management services.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Stakeholder identification and engagement internally and externally to ensure the workstreams required to deliver and operationalize projects function effectively.
  2. Provide effective management of a specialist group of project managers and support staff in their management of individual projects.
  3. Develop project and program plans and undertake regular reporting of progress on all projects, including regular review meetings with clients and presentations and briefings to enterprise management and external parties.
  4. Arrange and manage external and internal consultancies involved in project evaluation, project management, strategic studies, engineering and legal across a wide range of projects and disciplines.
  5. Undertake negotiations with clients (both internal and external) and with external bodies and developers on all project matters.
  6. Support the M&A team, GMs and business development teams to win customer opportunities with the development of Transition Plans, providing customers and the business confidence in Bulk’s ability to execute.

About you: You are a seasoned Program Manager with a strong strategic mindset, you see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies. You can anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, whilst driving results even under tough circumstances. You are a motivated leader, who creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.

You will need:

  • 5 years+ in operational leadership and management
  • Minimum 3 years+ experience working in a Project/ Program Management capacity
  • Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

Preferred:

  • Engineering, Business, Construction and/or Project Management degree 
  • Industry recognised qualifications/certifications in Project Management
