Experience

Gareth was appointed as Group Executive Containerised Freight in February 2023. He has been with Aurizon for over seven years. Prior to this, Gareth was Group Executive Corporate, headed our Risk and Assurance function and led the HR function and Aurizon’s operating model review.

As an accomplished and successful risk, control and governance global leader, Gareth has over 25 years leadership experience working with Boards and Executives across diverse global operating environments and cultures. Gareth has a reputation for leading high performing teams and for delivering execution excellence having led and delivered transformational change to audit functions and assuring major capital and change programmes.

Gareth hold a BSc (Hons) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy.
