Aurizon is currently undertaking a comprehensive upgrade of our payroll system to improve the technology, systems and processes that support this important part of our business.
Through this upgrade we have identified an inconsistency between the way we express annual salaries and the way we process fortnightly pay for employees and former employees under Total Fixed Remuneration (TFR) arrangements.
This has resulted in underpayments and overpayments for employees who were under a TFR arrangement during the period 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2019.
Aurizon is attempting to contact former employees who were employed under a Common Law Contract, Individual Flexible Arrangement, Enhanced Remuneration Package or Annualised Salary Arrangement during this period.
Accuracy in payroll processing is important and we apologise.
Aurizon does not intend to recover any overpayments and any underpayments will be repaid with interest in relation to this matter.
